The ancient traditional craft of hand-sewing white (Silver Needle) tea leaves into decorative shapes originated in China but spread to Vietnam along with many other cultural artifacts. These tight spheres of premium white tea expand in hot water to reveal a beautiful and delicate flower, with a colorful blossom in the center. In Vietnam, these works of art are called Dragonflower Teas.

The Jasmine Phoenix Dragonflower contains a sunny orange Lily blossom with a cluster of real white Jasmine flowers extending upwards. The Silver Needle tea is delicate with a full flavor but no bitterness, and a gentle Jasmine scent from the flower. Each Jasmine Phoenix Dragonflower can brew 3 pots of tea, or about 16-20 cups of tea.

The pretty Water Lily is particularly charming, since it floats to the surface of your teapot before settling to the bottom, and then extends its delicate leaves to give the impression of a serene lilypad with a brightly-colored water lily in the center. Lightly scented with jasmine.
